
The Qatar Exchange continued upswing trend on Tuesday adding 66.22 points (0.67%) advance to 9,913.84 points from 9,847.62 when trading closed on August 07 before the Eid holidays. The volume of the shares traded decrease to 5,652,605 from 5,795,230 on August 07 and the value of shares decreased to QR318,174,267.73 from QR555,891,002.37. Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.98% to QR180.00, Industries Qatar gained 0.63% to QR161.00, Doha Bank gained 2.80% to QR55.00 and Qatar Fuel up by 4.22% to QR286.60. The Banking and Financial sector index increased 1.30 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index gained 2.85 points and Industrial sector up 0.42 points
