The Qatar Exchange in the green area Wednesday adding 14.90 points (or 0.18%) to advance to 8,495.25 points from 8,480.35 Tuesday. The volume of the shares traded fell to 4,846,226 from 4,861,450 on Tuesday, and the value of shares increased to QR336,884,069.00 from QR181,800,746.02 Tuesday. Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.32% to QR132.10, Masref Al Rayan rose 0.91% to QR24.34, Electricity and Water gained 0.75% to QR133.50 and Barwa Real Estate up by 1.30% to Q27.30. The Banking and Financial sector index was up 0.74 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index lost 0.46 points. The industrial sector was dropped 0.40 points while insurance sector fell 1.98 points.
