Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Thursday, adding 36.90 points (or 0.43%) to advance to 8,689.76 points from 8,652.86 Wednesday. The volume of the shares traded fell to 3,726,393 from 4,399,967 on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR183,851,575.66 from QR236,359,799.48 Wednesday. Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.04% to QR136.00, International Islamic Bank rose 0.18% to QR55.10, Rayan gained 1.98% to QR25.70 and Doha Bank up by 1.07% to QR56.60. The Banking and Financial sector index up 0.80 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index up 0.11 points. The industrial sector gained 0.14 points while insurance sector lost 0.74 points.
