Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Thursday, adding 87.81 points (or 1.01%) to advance to 8,781.70 points from 8,693.89 Wednesday. The volume of the shares traded up to 5,318,198 from 4,584,363 on Wednesday and the value of shares increased to QR236,352,385.57 from QR214,276,150.25 Wednesday. Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 2.86% to QR140.40, Commercial Bank of Qatar rose 1.74% to QR75.80, Qatar Insurance gained 1.74% to QR75.80 and International Islamic Bank n up by 1.31% to QR54.20. The Banking and Financial sector index up 2.00 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index dropped 0.12 points. The industrial sector gained 0.36 points while insurance sector rose 0.91 points
