The Qatar Exchange was in the green area Sunday adding 83.89 points or 1.03% to 8,206.91 points from the previous closing of 8,123.02. The volume of the shares traded was down to 4,596,018 from 5,939,416 on Thursday and the value of shares was fell to QR146,224,299.91 from QR166,371,149.19 Thursday. Among the top gainers were Comm. Bank of Qatar which was up 2.19% to QR69.90, Qatar Telecom rose 1.93% to QR105.50, Doha Bank gained 1.85% to QR55.00 and Islamic Insurance up by 1.81% to QR61.80. The Banking and Financial sector index was up by 23.54 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index fell by 2.01 points. The industrial sector was added by 21.05 points while insurance sector gained 12.62 points.(QNA)
