Qatar stock index closes higher

Qatar Stock Exchange index gained 4.59 points (+0.04%) when the bourse closed Sunday at 12,144.01 points from Thursday's 12,139.42 points.
The market capitalization increased to QR 660.73 Billion today compared to QR 660.51 Billion on Thursday.
The traded value today decreased to QR 251.1 Million with a volume of 5,337,151 shares from 3,887 transactions compared to QR 336.41 Million with a volume of 6,251,803 shares from 3,918 transactions on Thursday.
Transport sector index gained the most today, up +1.25% to 2,497.82 points.
Insurance index gained +0.75% (4,120.26 points), telecoms +0.51% (1,418.62 points) and industries +0.47% (4,040.26 points).
Real estate index dropped -0.87% (2,390.77 points), banks and financial services -0.21% (3,207.73 points) and consumer goods and services -0.19% (7,159.78 points).
From the 43 listed companies shares of 41 saw trading today. From these, 20 gained, 19 declined and two remained unchanged.
