Qatar stock index edges up

Qatar Stock Exchange index closed slightly higher by five points (+0.04%) when it closed Monday at 12,450.34 points from the previous position of 12,445.34 points.
The market capitalization today decreased QR 675.08 Billion from QR 675.34 Billion registered Thursday.
The traded value increased to QR 509.16 Million with a volume of 10,074,849 shares from 5,959 transactions compared with QR 454.266 Million with a volume of 9,653,186 shares from 5,631 transactions last Thursday.
Indices of all sectors ended in the green zone barring real estate which declined -0.19% to 2,449.61 points.
Transport sector gained most, up +1.24% to 2,471.25 points.
Shares of 27 companies closed higher today, 13 dropped and one remained unchanged.
