Qatar stock index gains 28.97 points

Qatar Stock Exchange index gained 28.97 points (+0.23%) when it closed Sunday at 12,525.43 points from Thursday's position of 12,496.46 points.
The traded value today decreased to QR 349.517 Million with a volume of 9,328,742 shares from 4,357 transactions compared with QR 464.287 Million with a volume of 10,095,842 shares from 5,131 transactions on Thursday.
Real estate index gained +1.06% when it closed at 2,525.84 points. Telecoms index was up +0.26 (1,411.77 points), consumer goods and services +0.25% (7,561.25 points) and industries gained +0.23% (4,042.33 points).
Transport sector index dropped -0.47% (2,432.54 points) while insurance dropped -0.18% (4,079.41 points).
Shares of 20 companies closed higher today, 14 dropped while five remained unchanged.
