
Sales of new cars in France recorded upward trend in June with auto manufacturers selling 3.2 percent more units than in May, the French Car Sales Federation (CCFA) said in a statement on Tuesday.
Last month, 196,257 new vehicles were sold in the country with French home-made brands jumping by 10 percent to 116,475 units, while those of foreign brands going down by 5.4 percent, according to the statement.
At the end of June, France's leading car maker PSA Peugeot Citroen registered 56,354 new orders, down by 2.3 percent from the same month in 2013. Sales of Renault increased sharply by 24.7 percent.
For 2014, the country's car federation expected a stable market.
