Tokyo stocks finished slightly lower Thursday, as the overall market lacked direction throughout the day due to a lack of fresh incentives. The Nikkei Stock Average closed at 8,568.89, down 18.95 points, or 0.22%, according to (Nikkei) website. The overnight fall on Wall Street carried into the Tokyo market, dragging it down in early trade and dampening sentiment for the rest of the day. Trading was lackluster as many investors stayed on the sidelines to await the outcomes of the Bank of Japan's monetary policy meeting, which ends Friday, and Greece's re-election on Sunday. (QNA)
