
The US dollar traded at lower 105 yen zone on Monday morning in Tokyo deals, reaching a five-year high. At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 105.30-31 yen, compared with 105.14-24 yen in New York and 104.69-71 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday. The euro fetched 1.3750-3754 dollars and 144.80-82 yen, as against 1.3743-3753 dollars and 144.42-52 yen in New York and 1. 3764-3765 dollars and 144.10-14 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon. The dollar continued its recent climb on expectations of further US economic recovery in 2014.
