The exchange rate of the US dollar was unchanged against the Kuwaiti dinar on Monday, trading at KD 0.285, while the euro stuck to its KD 0.374 as well, said the daily exchange rate bulletin of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK). There was no change to the pound Sterling at KD 0.435, to the Japanese yen at KD 0.003, or to the Swiss franc at KD 0.303. The US greenback lost ground to the euro following statements by Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke that it was still premature to set a time for stopping bond purchasing. Analysts expect to see the dollar faltering even more with issue of any negative data on the US economy, and there is also an expected downward correction in the index which measures dollar performance on the exchange.
