Exchange rate of the US dollar stood unchanged at KD 0.284 while the euro dropped to reach KD 0.373, said the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) on Sunday. The exchange rate of the sterling rose to reach KD 0.442, the Japanese yen remained unchanged at KD 0.003, and the Swiss franc decreased to read KD 0.304. At the international level, some of the major economic events was the US Federal Reserve decision of stablizing major interest prices and keeping them unchanged at their current low levels between 0.25-0.00 percent, besides maintaining the quantitative easing program at the cost of USD 85 billion to support recovery of the world's biggest economy. US Federal Reserve declared that inflation rates are below the target set by the reserve at 2.5 percent, while the unemployment is still high rising, in spite of attempts to decrease it to 7.6 percent.
