U.S. stock indexes headed lower Monday morning. In midmorning on Wall Street, the Dow Jones industrial average was off 4.42 points or 0.03 percent to 13,484.01. The Nasdaq composite index shed 13.07 points or 0.43 percent to 3,112.15. The Standard and Poor's 500 lost 3.46 points or 0.24 percent to 1,476859. The 10-year treasury note rose 7/32 to yield 1.847 percent. Apple Inc. stocks slipped, off 3 percent, on reports that demand for the iPhone 5 was slowing down. Stocks were higher in Asia and mixed in Europe. Against the dollar, the euro rose to $1.3364 from Friday's $1.3363. The dollar was lower at 89.17 yen from 89.31 yen.
