US stocks Wednesday recovered from early losses to finish little-changed as Federal Reserve meeting minutes suggested it would wait longer before raising interest rates.
At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 18,029.44, down 18.14 points (0.10 percent).
The broad-based S&P 500 lost a scant 0.75 (0.04 percent) at 2,099.59, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index rose 7.10 (0.14 percent) to 4,906.36.
Minutes from the Fed's January monetary policy board meeting showed many members were concerned about moving too soon on rate hikes and stifling economic growth.
The minutes are "generally indicating that the interest rates are going to remain low maybe for longer," said Alan Skrainka, chief investment officer at Cornerstone Wealth Management.
