Washington, Rajab 15, 1433, Jun 5, 2012, SPA - U.S. stocks closed nearly flat Monday despite worries about a global growth slowdown and uncertainty about Europe’s debt crisis. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 17.11, or 0.14 percent, 12,101.46. The broader Standard & Poor’s 500 index rose 0.14, or 0.01 percent, to 1,278.18. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index gained 12.53, or 0.46 percent, to 2,760.01.
