Algeria has strongly condemned the suicide attack perpetrated on Saturday on the central market of Chad’s capital N’Djamena, causing several deaths and injuries, said Saturday the spokesman of Foreign Affairs Ministry Abdelaziz Benali-Cherif.
“The suicide attack, perpetrated on Saturday morning on the central market of the Chad’s capital N’Djamena and which caused several deaths and injuries in this holy month of Ramadan, is a terrorist act that we strongly condemn and reject,” said Benali Cherif in a statement to APS.
“While hailing the efforts of Chad’s government in its fight against the terrorist group Boko Haram, particularly as part of the regional cooperation which aims at mustering the energy of all the neighbouring countries and strengthening their capacities to foil the harmful plan of this bloody group, we express our full solidarity with Chad’s government as well as the bereaved families,” added the source.
“Algeria, which has always worked for the synergy of efforts of all the countries of the African Union (AU) to decide on a reliable and effective strategy to face the terrorist threat in all the continent, will continue deploying its efforts in coordination with all the African partners to defeat terrorism,” affirmed the ministry’s spokesman.
