Bus supervisor held in child molestation case

A shocking incident of sexual assault on a child has come to light after a four-year-old Indian girl was allegedly abused by a school bus supervisor in Sharjah.Sharjah Police sources on Wednesday confirmed they had received a complaint from the parents of the kindergarten student about the alleged incident.The sources said the suspect, who is in his 30s, had been detained. They said other suspects would also be called in for questioning if the need arose.The police declined to reveal more details about the case and only said the alleged incident had taken place a couple of days back. They were also tight-lipped about the nature and extent of the victim’s injuries. The parents of the child could not be reached and school officials refused to speak to the media. Sources said the man had been working at the school for two years and had a clean record.An earlier report said he was a political party worker in India and had a case pending against him for attempted murder.
