Two generations of artists would be displaying their works in three exhibitions to be held successively this week in Jeddah. The first exhibition titled “Kingdom in Eyes of Female Photographers” will start today at the Saudi Center for Fine Arts and will be inaugurated by the renowned Saudi photographer Khalid Khadir. Most of the artists are displaying pictures that are depicting the heritage and the country’s old traditions. The second art show, is a two men show titled (shared space) will be held on April 11 at Al-Almya Art Gallery located in Hamra district. The artists are Mahdi Al-Jeraibi and Fahd Al-Gethami who have displayed their art before. The third exhibition is due to be staged next Monday, April 16. at Jeddah art gallery is being organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Information and Culture and will be inaugurated by Dr. Talal Adham. The artists taking part in this exhibition are representing Madinah area and nearly 100 artworks will be on displayed. According to Nasser Al-Hujailan, undersecretary at the ministry, the support extended by the ministry to this exhibition stems from the desire of providing the Jeddah artists the chance of sharing ideas with artists from Madinah.
