8000 mosques renovated in Russia since 1991

About 8,000 mosques were renovated in Russia since 1991, Sputnik News quoted Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Rushan Abbasov as saying on Thursday.
The number of mosques in Russia before 1991 was about 100 mosques only, he added.
Russian authorities is working on to increase the number of mosques according to Muslims' demand, he further said, pointing out that Moscow Mosque will be inaugurated in September after being renovated.
