
A book titled 'Silent Revolution' which discusses changes and transformation between 2002-2012 in Turkey has been published. The book which was published by Under Secretariat of Public Order and Security, tells democratic change and transformation since Turkey's ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party came into power in 2002. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan wrote in the book's preface saying they carried out 'rooted reforms' and investments in the last decade. "The steps we have taken for a more democratic, free, peaceful and secure Turkey have changed our country. These steps have positively affected Turkey's economy, foreign policy, social life and helped it grow," said Erdogan in the preface. "We have appeased neither democracy nor freedom. In order to establish social peace we have carried out a new security paradigm. We have made regulations to protect and develop human rights." " I believe Turkey will be a more important factor in the region if necessary change and transformation and reforms are fulfilled. It will maintain to be the rising star of the world with is strong economy, advanced democracy and active foreign policy."
