Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, yesterday met Chilean Ambassador Jean-Paul Tarud during his tour of the Treasures of the World's Cultures exhibition at Manarat Saadiyat. Shaikh Abdullah received a gift from Chilean President Sebastian Pinera to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan as a token of UAE-Chilean friendship and to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the UAE. The gift is a 3.5 metre high wooden replica, weighing nearly 3 tonnes, of a Moai statue from Easter Island, (Rapa Nui), a remote Chilean-owned island over 3,500km off the coast of South America in the Pacific Ocean.
