Al-Azhar criticises Italian consulate blast

Al Azhar strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the Italian consulate in downtown Cairo on Saturday leaving one person killed and others wounded.
In a statement, Al Azhar expressed solidarity with state institutions atop of which the army and police to uproot terrorism.
Al Azhar supports measures taken by these institutions to maintain stability and security of the country, the statement read.
The Islamic edifice called on the citizens to unite so as to eradicate terrorism. It further hoped speedy recovery for the injured.
