Al-Azhar holds talks with intellectuals on renewal of religious discourse

Al Azhar said on Tuesday it will hold meetings with a number of intellectuals to draw up mechanisms for the renewal of religious discourse with the aim of protecting the country against extremism.
The meetings are due to start next week within the framework of Al Azhar's efforts to fight extremist thoughts.
A document is expected to be issued at the end of the meetings in coordination with the parties concerned as recommendations will be also issued.
