Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) continues to be a firm supporter of Bahrain’s thriving art movement as the company extends sponsorship support for the 2nd Bahraini Female Artists Exhibition taking place in the period 5-13 December 2012 at the Arts Centre next to Bahrain National Museum. Organized under the patronage of Her Excellency the Minister of Culture, Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, the 2nd Bahraini Female Artists Annual Exhibition is held under the theme: Pretty Fearless Minds. The exhibition organized by Nadine Art Gallery’s founder Nadine Al-Shaikh showcases 60 original works of art by 45 renowned and upcoming Bahraini female artists. Commenting on Alba's support for the 2nd Bahraini Female Artists Exhibition, the company’s Chief Support Functions Officer, Basem Al Sharqi said: "Art plays an integral role in the evolution of societies and in consolidating varied cultural forces to act as foundational elements to civilization as we know it. Cultures that promote art will allow diverse voices to find articulation while simultaneously encouraging a variety of platforms for artistic expression." "Over the years, Bahrain has been home to numerous artists, poets and writers who have bolstered the Kingdom’s reputation as a cultural oasis," she added. Alba is proud once again to support this unique art exhibition that throws spotlight on the work of female artists and contribute in some degree towards strengthening the growth of Bahrain’s art movement.
