
Albanian President Bujar Nishani and his accompanying delegation paid today a visit to the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) within the framework of their current visit to Qatar.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, HE Salah Ghanim Al-Ali, accompanied the Albanian President during their visit to the Museum of Islamic Art along with Qatar's Ambassador to Albania, HE Youssuf bin Hassan Al-Sae, and the Albanian Ambassador to Qatar, HE Edmond Chasha, and Director of International Relations at the Qatar Museums Authority, Rashid Al-Hajri.
President Nishani toured various sections of the MIA where he was briefed on the contents including Islamic artifacts , relics, a rare precious heritage, books, manuscripts and coins made of silver, copper and bronze as well as articles of glass, ivory, tissue, wood and precious stones which have been collected from the three continents dated back to 14 centuries ago.
The Albanian President listened to an explanation about MIA and its construction's stages in addition to its role in disseminating science, culture and encouraging creativity and communication with arts and cultures of the world.
Following the tour, the Albanian President signed MIA honorary record praising its distinguished contents and collections representing the Islamic civilization and cultural heritage.
