
Algeria and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) seek to open up wider prospects for their cooperation, said Tuesday in Algiers, ALECSO' Director General Abdullah Hamad Muhare.
At the end of a working session with Culture Minister Nadia Labidi, Abdullah Hamed al Mouhareb underlined that ALECSO seeks to further bringing together the intellectuals of the Middle East and North Africa for the promotion of the cultural production.
The Arab official stressed the need to dissociate culture from politics, recalling the mission of the Arab intellectual in the promotion of the Arab thought.
He also announced that "Constantine, capital of Arab capital 2015" event will host the 3rd edition of the prize of creativity and innovation.
Labidi said that the working session focused mainly on the necessary mechanisms for the creation of the Arab Centre of Archaeology.
