Turkish EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis has said "Don't worry about the economic crisis, we are coming there to rescue!" about the current economic crisis in EU at the Europe Day Reception on Thursday. Egemen Bagis attended a reception on the occasion of Europe Day in Turkish capital of Ankara. In his speech, Bagis stated that Turkey has very crucial role in EU and added "Turkey have transformed EU's continental peace project into a global one." "I'm enthusiastic today. After a three year gap, during the Irish presidency, we are getting ready to open a new chapter, the chapter of regional policy, a chapter which emphasizes closing the gap among different regions of our country, a chapter that very much enlighted the solution process that we all focused on" Bagis said. -"Turkey and EU will make a great match together"- The chief negotiator said Europe is not only important for each citizen of Europe but also important for the each and every citizen of world. "Don't worry about the economic crisis, we are coming there to rescue! Hold tight, Turkey and EU will make a great match together" Bagis added. -"EU will get stronger"- The head of the European Union Delegation to Turkey Jean-Maurice Ripert said Europe would overcome the financial crisis and they would continue the dignity of all people without discrimination in his speech. "Since the beginning of year, there is a new momentum in relations between Turkey and EU and my deep conviction is that Europe is the common future of EU and Turkey" said Ripert. Commissioner responsible for employment, social affairs and inclusion Lazlo Andor stated that EU was a social dynamism and a single market. "It is very hard time for European Union due to the financial crisis but I'm very confident this complexity will be overcome" said Andor. At the occasion, Bagis and Andor were presented declaration from two students who participated in the Bosphorus conference in Istanbul.
