
Moufdi Zakaria cultural palace thrilled, Thursday evening,” to the rhythms of Chaabi music on the occasion of the 1st edition of El-Hachemi Guerrouabi Grand Prize.
The ceremony, which saw the presence of Prime Minister Abdelamlek Sellal, Culture Minister Nadia Labidi as well as several artists and political personalities, was livened up, at its opening, by the winners of three prizes namely Youcef Benyaghzer, Saliha Boulemnakher and Derradji Sid Ahmed.
Famous Algerian artists also participated in this evening, including Abderrahmane Kobbi, Chaou Abdelkader, Sid Ali Dris, Lamia Madini and Hamidou.
The repertoire of El-Hachemi Guerrouabi was revived during this evening by artists Abderrahmane Kobbi, Abdelkader Chaou and Lamia Maadini who captivated the audience with "talet b'sidi had el ghiba."
The winners of this award, set up by the association El-Hachemi Guerrouabi with the contribution of Culture Ministry, received DZD100,000 DA (1st prize), DZD 70,000 DA (2nd prize) and DZD50,000 DA (3rd prize).
