
Awqaf (Endowments) Minister Mohamed Mokhtar met on Saturday with Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damaty and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting took up means of activating religious and cultural tourism as well as continuing the restoration plan of archaeological mosques in light of cooperation and coordination between the two ministries.
A joint higher committee grouping representatives from the ministries of awqaf, tourism and antiquities will be formed during the coming phase.
Meanwhile, Mokhtar paid on Friday an inspection tour of archaeological mosques such as Sultan Hassan and Sultan el Rifaie Mosques.
He was accompanied during his tour by the ministers of tourism and antiquities
