Azhar to hire PhD holders to lead religious missions

Al Azhar announced Wednesday that it would hire teachers with PhD degrees to lead missions of preachers.
Deputy of Al Azhar Grand Imam Abbas Shoman made the remarks, adding, mission visiting governorates are part of an initiative to clarify the true image of Islam and to fight extremism, Shoman said.
Meantime, two missions would be on two-day visit to Damietta and Fayyoum starting as of Thursday.
