Bahrain’s oldest club will be renovated marking its diamond jubilee. Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa today received Bahrain Club High Organising Committee chairman Abdulrahman Jamsheer and discussed the renovation of the iconic club premises. Established in 1936, Bahrain Club played an historic role in promoting cultural, social and sport grassroot movement. The renovated seventy-six year old club will feature a documentary section named after Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa, in recognition of his decades-long efforts to promote culture, literature and sport. Bahrain Club High Organising Committee members Rashid bin Dina, Hassan Ibrahim Kamal and Aref Jamsheer attended the meeting.
