
Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa announced her Ministry's plan to implement new projects, including "Bab Al-Bahrain" lagoon.
The project would be constructed opposite Regency Hotel, in addition to the Al-Fateh Cornish development project.
The Minister pointed out that the implementation of these projects would be financed by private sector establishments.
The Minister told Al-Ayam newspaper that the Bab Al-Bahrain lagoon would restore part of Manama memory when the sea was just opposite Bab Al-Bahrain. She added that this project comprises a lagoon surrounding the Kids Museum, the Open Theatre, car parking in addition to the flyover bridge between Bab Al-Bahrain and the Financial Harbour.
