
Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa led the Kingdom of Bahrain's delegation participating at the 39th meeting of the International Tourism Organisation (ITO)'s regional committee for the Middle East and the 2014 International Tourism Safety and Security Conference in Cairo on September 14-15.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received the heads of delegations namely ministers of tourism, stressing the importance of security and safety in boosting global tourism.
Egyptian Minister of Tourism Dr. Hesham Zazou' praised the Kingdom of Bahrain's experience in tourism especially the promotion of Bahrain's exemplary architectural heritage.
The Kingdom's delegation included the Culture Ministry's Undersecretary for Tourism Sector Shaikh Khalid bin Hmood Al Khalifa and several officials from the tourism sector on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain as the Capital of Asian Tourism2014.
