
Marking the silver jubilee anniversary of the Bahrain National Museum, Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received, at the National Museum's Lecture Hall, the Bahraini ambassadors who are participating in their second annual conference, held here from Nov. 28 to Dec. 6. During the meeting, attended by the Culture Ministry's Media Adviser Dr. Elie Flouty, Shaikha Mai delivered a statement in which she highlighted the Culture Ministry's landmark achievements over the past two years and efforts to enhance cooperation with the Kingdom's embassies so as to project the cultural and tourism image of the kingdom. She praised the efforts of ambassadors to promote Bahrain's culture in their host countries. She expressed sincere thanks to the Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the "first supporter of culture and tourism in Bahrain", for his efforts in this regard. The ambassadors expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to Shaikha Mai for the Culture Ministry's efforts to promote the kingdom's cultural and tourism potentials. Following the meeting, the ambassadors toured the Bahrain National Museum, the Bahrain National Amphitheatre, the third biggest in the Arab World, the Information Centre of the Qal'at Bu Maher and the Pearl Route, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and inaugurated on November 28, 2013, under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Slaman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
