
Marking World Tourism Day, Ministry of Culture today hosted the Royal Ballet of Cambodia to present their performance on Bahrain National Theatre titled (light and shade).
Minister of Culture, Shaikha Mai bint Mohammad Al Khalifa, in her speech, highlighted the role played by Manama, the 2014 capital of Asian tourism, in bringing together various civilizations and cultures, particularly Asian ones.
She welcomed the Royal Ballet of Cambodia in Bahrain and hailed the Cambodian art that is listed on UNESCO World Heritage List.
She lauded efforts of Arab Tourism Organization and World Tourism Organization in promoting tourism, which is a main sources of income for local communities.
