
The Central Bank of the UAE has announced that it will be issuing a commemorative silver coin to mark the occasion of Selection of Sharjah as Capital of Islamic Culture-2014.
The face of the coin depicts the portrait of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the coin's denomination. The reverse face of the coin depicts the logo of the occasion.
The commemorative coin shall be available for sale to banks, at Central Bank's cash counters at the Head Office in Abu Dhabi and at the Dubai Branch. The silver coin will be sold at its face value of Dh 100 plus additional costs, estimated at Dh 350.
