Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al Sabah said the third consultative forum of Arab cultural attaches reflects the great importance given by Arab and GCC leaders to the youth as the main catalyst of social development.
In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Shaikh Azzam said that the forum, which kicked off today under the patronage of the Youth and Sport Affairs Minister Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowder at Muharraq Model Youth Centre, coincides with the Arab Summit that convened in Jordan.
He added that the annual event organised by Kuwait Cultural Office reflects the key role of the youth as the core of development.
The forum, held under the theme "the Youth and Arab Identity", mirrors the Arab leaders' trends and represents an opportunity to exchange views and direct youngsters' potentials positively, he said.
Chairman of the forum Dr. Abdullah Al Kandari hailed the forum as an opportunity to foster unity of the Arab countries amid current challenges which require all to intensify efforts and devote all resources to serve the interests of the Arab nation.
