
Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received here today the CEO of the Diyar Al-Muharraq company Dr. Maher Al-Shaer. She discussed with Al-Shaer areas of cooperation between the two sides in order to make cultural and tourism achievements as part of the events of Manama as Capital of Arab Tourism for the year 2013. Shaikha Mai stressed the need to activate cooperation and contacts in order to implement projects in which public and private sides can take part in order to preserve national cultural identity and boost investments.. She pointed out that the Diyar Al-Muharraq project represents a modern urban project and can be exploited as a tourist attraction. On his part, Dr. Maher Al-Shaer asserted that urban investment and implementing cultural and tourism projects will boost tourism and enhance cultural exchange, noting that he is looking forward to discussing joint projects. He commended the role of the Culture Ministry in earning the kingdom regional and global achievements thanks to its landmark cultural development projects.
