Antiquities Minister Mamdouh Mamaty said on Sunday a special publication documenting the digging of the new Suez Canal project and the archaeological sites located in the precincts of the Suez Canal Corridor will see daylight soon.
The book comes as part the activities organized by the ministry to mark the inauguration of the new Suez Canal, the minister said.
The book will be released on August 2 and will be in Arabic and French languages, Mohamed Abdel Maksoud, coordinator of the development works of the archaeological places in Suez Canal Corridor, said.
It will be distributed during the three exhibitions that will be held by the ministry at Ismailia, Suez and Tahrir museums.
The book will outline the history of the Suez Canal, archaeological finds along the Canal banks and the digging of the new Suez Canal.
