
The Chairman of the Arab Publishers Union, Dr. Isam Shalabi, has affirmed that Sudan is one of the most important sources of culture in the Arab and African Worlds.
He said at the inauguration of the Khartoum International Book Fair Monday evening that culture is the basis of the development and civilization and that the publishing houses represent is the best means for expanding.
Shalabi noted that Khartoum International Book Fair is one of the main gates of reading and writing in the Arab World, calling on the Sudanese Publishers to exert greater efforts in publishing inside and outside Sudan. He appreciated the libraries of the Sudanese universities and expressed his thanks to the Sudanese Minister of Culture for his efforts in organizing these activities.
