Egyptian Ambassador to Italy Amr Helmy inaugurated Tutankhamen Museum in the premises of the Egyptian Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Presidential Adviser on the Protection of Cultural Heritage Louis Godard as well as accredited ambassadors in Rome.
Helmy said the exhibition aimed at developing the cultural and touristic relations between Egypt and Italy, adding that the counterfeit relics were made by great Egyptian experts in the field of antiquities which made it look like the real antiquities of the king.
The Egyptian Academy of Fine Arts in Rome is a cultural edifice, the diplomat underlined, noting that the Egyptian cabinet would sign an agreement with its Italian counterpart to consider year 2015 as an Egyptian cultural year in Italy where the academy would organize cultural and artistic activities.
He also expressed his appreciation to the support of the Italian government in restoring the antiquities of the Islamic, Malawi and Egyptian Museums.
