Egypt's Mufti Shawki Allam said Thursday those who carry out militant attacks are damned.
In a statement, Allam condemned the militant attacks that took place at dawn on Thursday in el Kharoba and Qabr Emir, located in southern Sheikh Zuaid, Sinai.
He further underlined that the attacks that target security personnel are condemned by the moderate teachings of Islam, saying that such operations are based on aggression and aim at intimidating citizens as well as harming the stability of the country.
The mufti extended his heart-felt condolences to the victims' families, hoping a speedy recovery for the injured.
