The GCC's General Cultural Committee concluded its 41st meeting Tuesday with participation of Kuwait's National Council for Culture, Art, and Letters (NCCAL).
The meeting selected Kuwait as host of an intellectual symposium in February 2016, with participation of a number of writers, to focus on boosting the Gulf citizenship, Mohammad Abdulkhaleq bin Redha, superintendent of foreign cultural relations in NCCAL, stated to KUNA.
Kuwait was also assigned to prepare a approach aimed at boosting citizenship in coordination with the GCC Joint Program Production Institution (GCCJPPI), the Kuwaiti official said, noting that the committee expressed gratitude to Kuwait for its efforts during its presidency of the previous meeting.
The two-day meeting, held at GCC General Secretariat headquarter, discussed a number of significant subjects, including a statute of the Translation and Arabization Center in GCC states, updating joint cultural action regulations, and a proposal to establish a permanent fine arts exhibition.
