
Culture officials of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) discussed on Monday in their preparatory meeting the electronic linking mechanism between cultural institutions and national libraries in the GCC countries. The officials discussed, according to a statement issued by the GCC General Secretariat, a proposal to establish a museum for the GCC child in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the establishment of a database for cultural institutions and workers specializing in the cultural affairs. The participants discussed the establishment of a center for translation, arabization, preparation and printing of the second edition of the Guide to GCC Writers, in addition to reviewing cultural cooperation with friendly countries, including holding a cultural day in Australia.
