Foreign reporters and journalists covering news about the Muslim world can find a guide issued by the Egyptian Iftaa House on the ideology of Al-Qaeda dissidents helpful because it corrects wrong stereotypes created by terrorist organizations.
Issued in English, "Dismantling the Ideology of Al-Qaeda Dissidents in Iraq and Syria" is an international guide meant to correct misconceptions about Islam created by terrorist groups, such as Daesh and Boko Haram, said Ibrahim Negm, an adviser to the Egyptian mufti, in statements Wednesday.
It is a step meant to communicate with the Western media that tends to adopt such "unfair generalizations" against Islam and Muslims, Negm said.
The mufti's adviser also launched an online guide that contains a detailed explanation about the concept of Jihad and its rules in the Islamic Sharia. The online guide is also offered in English.
