An Indian dance band arrived here on Sunday to perform shows in Alexandria and Cairo.
The visit comes at an invitation of the tourism promotion authority to promote the tourism sector here.
Acting Indian Ambassador to Egypt Sapkal Vishvas said the band will participate in the "India on the Nile banks" festival, that will be organized in Cairo from March 30 to April 17, in presence of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
He added that this comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen and deepen Egyptian-Indian relations and spread the Indian culture in Egypt.
