Iranian Cultural Attaché in China Hossein Jalilvand on Saturday stressed the need for expansion of cultural ties between the two ancient Asian civilizations. Talking to IRNA, Jalilvand described establishment of the first Iran-China cultural commission as a turning point in mutual relations. Expressing his satisfaction with the last week visit to China of Iranian cultural delegation, he said the visit indicated the importance of fostering all-out bilateral ties between the two friendly nations. On new Iran and China memorandum of understanding inked last week, he said Chinese Minister of Culture Cai Wu is very much interested in promotion of ties with the Iranian side.
