Istanbul hosts Turkey's largest book fair

Istanbul International Book Fair has been opened in Tuyap Fair Convention and Congress Center on Saturday, featuring participation of 850 publishers and organizations from Turkey and around the globe.
The book fair is hosting intellectuals writing for children and youth, Turkish Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Abdularhman erce said in a statement on the sidelines of the inauguration.
He said the book fair aimed at highlighting the Turkish literature and poetry in particular, and culture in general.
The theme of the book fair, to last until November 16, will be "100 years of Turkish Cinema."
