
talian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino made a stop at the Amricani Cultural Center of Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah (DAI - Islamic Antiquities House) Sunday night, accompanied by Head of the Economic Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry Sheikh Ali Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. A DAI statement Monday said Bonino was greeted upon arrival to the establishment by DAI Director General Sheikha Hussah Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. The dignitary was taken on a tour of the "Splendors of the Ancient East", "Loans from the Kuwait National Museum", and "Verses from the Holy Qur'an on Works of Art" exhibitions. The statement added that Sheikha Hussah treated her guests to an audio-video presentation introducing the Amricani center and its history. Following this introduction, minister Bonino signed the guest book and expressed pleasure with the efforts of Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah to preserve and showcase the achievements of Islamic culture, most particularly in the areas of arts and artifacts. The Italian FM had wrapped her official two-day visit to the country last night, after discussing bilateral relations and means to bolster bonds between the two nations in all fields.
